Lake Norman...

Sunsets... They are amazing. They are breathtaking. They are my favorite!! I think my favorite part about them is that they are never the same!! Yes, there are not so great ones and then their are some that have some of the most magnificent colors you've ever seen!! I especially love Lake Norman sunsets. I think I could sit out on Jamie's deck all day and everyday if I had to!!

The most recent sunset that I saw down there wasn't the brightest one, but I gotta say it's probably one of the most peaceful, relaxing ones I've ever seen. I can't wait til I get to see more of these on a regular basis!!

I'm Forcing Myself....

.... to start using my camera on a daily basis! I need to start using/learning/practicing more with camera, instead of letting it collect dust! So this past weekend I went over to my sister's house and I went on a little nature walk with my camera! I can't tell you how relaxing it is to be with just nature and my camera. It was like I was living my past. I felt like I was a kid again, just exploring and being carefree.

During my nature walk I stumbled upon an old truck!! It's pretty cool! It's the kinda truck that needs a crank in order for it to start! Yeah, that old!! I hope the next time I/we go back there we can figure out what brand of truck it is. Until then I'll be examining my photos and trying to find something that will help me figure it out!

After I was done exploring the abandoned truck. I decided to explore the woods and see if there was anything thing else I could fine. I gotta say I found some pretty cool things. Like I found the location for a family shoot that my sister wants to do. I found an old wagon, and I found a location that reminds me of Twilight! ha I know I'm a DORK!!!

In the bottom photo, is where the old Studly Rd. used to be. Pretty cool.

Yes that is a tree coming out of the door!

This is the photo that reminds me of Twilight! I can just see all the Werewolves and Vampires coming here and battling it out!!!

I also found a few natural bridges. Natural bridges are probably one of my favorite things! EVER!!!

p.s. I noticed I used a lot of "!" in this post. Please excuse my excitement! :)

Luke | Valentine's Day

When you are in pre-school everything is new and exciting!! Especially holidays! At that age you starting to finally understand why we celebrate what we celebrate. Well, today, granted it's not Valentine's Day, but today is when Luke's pre-school class celebrated it. The look on the kids faces when they walk into their classroom and see that's it's changed while they were outside playing or in music class, is priceless! Today, they walked into a room with a HUGE balloon bouquet full of heart shaped ballons, a mini-lunch filled with treats, and CANDY!!! A two year old favorite and a parents worst nightmare!! Candy that is not the free lunch! ha :) Any who, here's a few photos that I took while at Luke's Valentine's Day Party...

This is so sweet!!

Who can resist that smile?!?!

I Love Organization...

It's true. I love to be organized!! It's astonishing how much better you feel when you're organized vs. being unorganized! Going back to school shopping was one of my favorite things to do when I was a kid. I loved getting a new backpack, new binders, paper, pencils, pens, notebooks, folders, erasers, white out, tape, etc. I loved it!! Part of the reasoning for being so excited about B2SS was because I got to organize for the upcoming school year!! I loved putting the paper in my binders and separating them with the dividers.

Today, we went out to lunch and then we went to OfficeMax to get a few things that we needed. I gotta say it brought back some memories!!! While we were there I got some new pens and some hanging folders to store my files in!!! I gotta say I love my new filing system/ unit!!! It makes me feel so accomplished! ha

Oh, how I wish I could still go back to school shopping!!! Well, until then I'll just have to get enjoyment out of buying things for my business!!!! :)

Aunthood

As my sister likes to say I'm a "stay at home aunt." I'm down with that because everyday I get to stay at home and play with my two favorite boys!! They bring so much joy and laughter into my and they keep me young!!! Oh and they are great models for me, so I don't lose my touch with my camera!!!

The other day we took advantage of the spring like weather, and went outside to play!! It felt good to be outside again and to let the boys run wild. I for one can't wait for Spring and Summer to come!!!

His horns came out in this photo!! :)

On these two shots you can actually see the bullets that they are shooting at me!!

Ahhdorable!!!

The Hunter...

and the hunted!! haha

Clearly Luke was not down for this photo!

What a cutie?!?!

My Not so Lil' Man Anymore

It's crazy how time flies. I remember the day my sister had Nathan. I was a Sophomore at school. Swimming, we had a swim meet that day vs. ODU! It was snowing!! My parents rushed home and I had to wait a week to see the little booger!!!

Now, he's 6!! The past 6 years have flown by!! My lil' man isn't so little anymore!!! (tear) Although, he's growing up to be quite the little looker. He already his a heart-breaker with all his kindergarten girlfriends. Yes, I said ALL he has multiple!! :)

Well enough of me rambling on about how time flies and how cute he is, here are a few photos from his Monster Truck birthday party.

The walkway into the party. Nathan would stop people from coming in the backdoor and tell them to go around to the front to come into the house.

The MONSTER TRUCK cake that my sister made!!

100% devil right here. He so badly wants to eat that cake!! :)

Waiting to blow out the candles while we sing him Happy Birthday.

Thinking of his wish...

blowing out his candles...
